Ottawa Race Weekend

We’ve been supporting the Ottawa Race Weekend with their social media efforts for the past two years. In addition to creating a communications plan incorporating social media as a channel, we developed social media campaigns to help build the profile of the event. For example, the Great Run Ottawa Playlist Contest was a successful cross-platform campaign engaging runners through Twitter, Facebook and the Race website, as well as involving the event’s media partner CHUM. We also planned and coordinated the release of a Youtube video showing how the Race’s medals were hand-made in Africa, which was promoted via traditional media, Twitter and Facebook.
